About Blaze The Stage
The idea for "Blaze The Stage" was conceived in 2007 by Pat Charles, a senior show writer for BET's 106 & Park. His idea was to have an annual invitational urban talent showcase in New York City, featuring all the winners from BET’s 106 & Park "Wild Out Wednesday" segment, along with other fan favorite performers. The Blaze The Stage NYC Invitational Showcase proved to be very successful and became a highly anticipated annual event for aspiring urban artist from all across the country. In March of 2010, under the direction and guidance of a marketing and branding specialist, the plan to transition "Blaze The Stage™" into a trademarked, nationally renowned urban brand was unveiled and put into action.
